Our History

ShippingCollege was established in 1988

1988 - 2010

ShippingCollege has been involved in training since 1988 providing traditional classroom style training. As this is a global industry we realised a global demand for online training was emerging.

2010

ShippingCollege was launched online in June of 2010. Our core aim was to provide online practical training for the shipping, logistics and freight industries globally.

2011

ShippingCollege started to enjoy support from corporate business as our reputation grew within the training market globally.

2012

ShippingCollege continued to grow our market to offer training to Africa and Asia.

2013

ShippingCollege has a very successful year upgrading and improving our course content.

2014

After operating online for only four years ShippingCollege was well received within the industry as demand for our practical training grew.

2015 - 2018

ShippingCollege saw that the market also needed shorter and more consolidated courses. We launched our Foundation Certificate courses.

2019 - 2023

At ShippingCollege are very excited about 2023 and being involved in developing our students in preparation for a new career or promotion. We are working on new and exciting courses.

2024 - 2026

ShippingCollege starting adding video versions of the course notes in 2025. This allows the students to read the course notes and watch the course content in preparation for their exams. This is a work in progress and we aim to complete the video project by the end of 2026.
